Our planet conscious shoot range

Our standard shoot packaging is now fully compostable!

Each shoot will now be provided with a fully compostable set including breakfast pots, lunch pots, coffee cups, cutlery and napkins. We have also updated our stickers to be made from recycled paper.

A compostable rubbish bag will also be provided which can be filled with your waste packaging, plus any food waste from the shoot. This compostable rubbish bag can be added to any compostable food waste bin you have on site.

If you do not have access to this, please get in contact and we can arrange collection of this for you for an extra charge of £20 to ensure all the waste is disposed of in the most planet conscious way.

TAKEAWAY PACKAGING - our new planet conscious supplier

In the move to help reduce waste, we have changed to a more planet conscious packaging supplier for our shoot menus. Takeaway Packaging are focusing on more planet-based packaging, something that we both feel is the future of helping to reduce our environmental impact.

Plant-based packaging is made from naturally renewable materials, it tends to be organic and therefore uses zero-plastic. Using this kind of material helps to use up waste bi-products such as corn starch or sugar cane pulp. Regular food packaging tends to be spoilt by food moister, rather than going to land fill, our new planet-based packaging can be composted. Allowing the packaging and food waste to be easily broken down, much much quicker than any standard food packaging.

Our new containers (see below) are made from Ingeo™ a biodegradable material. Ingeo™ turns green houses gasses into PLA (thermoplastic derived from renewable resources, such as corn starch). Its not only a fully compostable material but also has a low carbon footprint.

Reusable shoot packaging and how to join the zero-waste lunch club!

We are trialling a new reusable shoot packaging range which includes reusable breakfast boxes, lunch boxes, reusable coffee cups and cutlery sets. All the items will be collected by us at the end of the shoot, taken back to our HQ to be cleaned and reused again and again. This will help create our very own closed loop system, helping to dramatically reduce packaging waste for those we cater for.

Planet conscious product highlight: HUSKEE CUP

We are using Huskee’s reusable coffee containers made from a bioploymer made up of waste coffee husks. Huskee are a B Corp business that creates beautiful and function products that utilises waste, creating a closed loop system. They are constantly working to ensure that their products have a low environmental impact from the carbon footprint of their materials to eliminating single use products.

We not only think the function and design of their products are the very best but are proud to supply a reusable cup that is made from waste materials that can be recycled at the end of their life through their closed loop system HuskeeLoop.
